Ard Na Mara Self Catering Re Covid 19
With the covid 19 Virus we are trying to make it as safe as possible for everyone and mitigate as much risk as possible to you the guests, myself/family during cleaning and the next guests to follow.
We ask guests to adhere to the relevant government guidance maintaining good personal hygiene to Wash their Hand Often with soap and water to prevent the spread of the infection.
I would also ask that you keep cleaning down most used surfaces often (eg door handles, light switches, fridge/freezer door handles, TV controllers, toilet handles etc for everyone’s safety from this virus. Some cleaning wipes/ spray will be provided. Water should not be used on light switches.
Beds will be making up for each set of new Guests .
The house will be cleaned as far as I can to eliminate any spread of Covid 19 I wont have contact with the guests or be in the house while guests are in. Notes are in the house how to operate things and if any difficulty I can be contacted and if need be come to 2-meter distance from the door as my house is opposite the self-catering or do a video whattapps call can be done to quide you through any problems if any arise. Keys will be cleaned and left for the guests.
Cushions, throws in the living room and bed rooms will be removed to try and elimate any spead through soft furnishings.
If Towels are required for hiring please give at least 3 days notice in advance to allow for Covid 19 decay.
On the Morning of Departure
Please leave windows open on the latch (unless it is very windy/rainy)
Place all used linen Sheets, Quilt Covers, Pillow cases, and bath mats in the black bin liners provided. Empty all bins and put the waste in the correct bins outside.
Tourist Northern Ireland have refered us to a number of sites for guidence in relation to minimising the risk of spreading Covid 19 and what I have set out above. Please ensure that all necessary measures sugested are taken to protect all parties involved.
Guests who have been to the house and up to 14 days from leaving if they get any symptoms of Covid 19 virus you need to inform me so I my/family or guest in the house after you will need to be informed so they may have to self-isolate.

Arrivals from 4 pm (16.00) Departures 10.30 am in the High Season. Other times could be arranged if the house is vacant prior to arrival/departure but normally by 1-2pm departure at the latest on off peak.
Deposit £250 non-refundable is required with the booking form (for off peak see booking form for peak times deposit), & must be signed otherwise booking is invalid and the number of persons occupying the property should not exceed the number stated on the booking form. Set events eg Golf NW200 etc deposit is 50% with other 50% 6 weeks before start of the holiday.
Cheques in sterling only accepted. Euro only accepted in Cash. Do not send Cash in the post unless it is a special delivery. If paying through pay pal there may be a currency change charge of up to £5.
The Full Balance is due 6 weeks before arrival (if the house is booked within 14 days of the holiday then the full balance is due on arrival in Cash). Plus a £150 (or £500 set events) refundable good house keeping deposit is payable by a separate cheque and should be sent with the Balance. This is an additional payment required at the same time as the total balance payment and will be returned by post or torn up and scanned to you with in 7 working days of departure provided the property is left as found in a clean and tidy condition and no damage or breakage. It is advised that if there is any damage caused during your stay that you report it immediately or at least on departure. The deposit may also be used in the event of any loss, damage, breakage or excessive use of oil/electricity.
- All bed linen is supplied free of charge (Except Towels)
- Towels can be provided at a charge of £5 per set (2 bath, 2 hand & 1 tea towel) and should be requested in advance re Covid 19 at least 3 days in advance.
- Starter Pack supplied for guests who are taking the property for a week or longer.
- Cot & high-chair available
- Electricity Allowance per week up to 105 units in summer, & up to 140 units in winter (Meter read on arrival and when departure) above this allowance will be charged at 18p per unit.
- Heating Allowance of Oil per week up to 28Hrs in summer & up to 56 hrs in winter which should be adequate for normal usage. Any use of oil above this will be charged at 56p per litre. (Tank gauge read on arrival and when leaving)
Special Offers only available when booking direct with the premises via email or telephone, they cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer and are not bookable on-line. Subject to availability. Excludes bank holidays and special events.
The accommodation shall be for family use only, not for youth groups or other groups or student parties due to the quiet nature of the neighbourhood. Under no circumstances may more than the maximum number of persons stated in the brochure and confirmed in the booking form occupy the house. The proprietor reserves the right to refuse admittance if this condition is not adhered to. Sleeping in tents or Motor Vehicles adjacent to the accommodation is not permitted.
In the event of non-arrival, and where no notice of late arrival has been received, the owner or representative reserve the right to re-let the property from midday on the day following the schedule commencement of hire.
If guests wish to cancel a reservation for any reason he/she must notify the proprietors by telephone and also confirm the cancellation in writing. Less than 8 weeks prior to arrival no refunds will be made, In the event of cancellation prior to 8 weeks before arrival the proprietors will then attempt to find an alternative tenant and if successful the deposit is forfeited otherwise, if the proprietor is unsuccessful in getting a tenant then 100% of the total cost is payable.
It is advisable that clients take out holiday insurance from data of booking. We cannot be responsible for any cost through cancellation/emergencies etc. Remember to arrange insurance which includes personal liability as this will probably meet the cost of any damages/breakages during your stay.
The proprietors believe that the information shown on this website or brochure is correct but they reserve the right to update their information due to changing circumstances and cannot accept any responsibility for any errors therein.
The booking is made in good faith if for any reason this is not possible through circumstances outside the control of the proprietor the proprietor cannot guarantee to provide an alternative. In such an event the deposit will be refunded in full but the tenant will have no claim against the proprietor and in no circumstances exceeds a refund in excess of monies paid.
No responsibility is accepted by the proprietors for any loss, damage or injury to the person or property (including vehicles, accessories and contents) whilst within the confines of the premises.
The house and its contents are let out clean and tidy conditions at the start and must be left in the clean and tidy condition when vacated otherwise an End cleaning charge of £20 applies.
Low Season: October- March (excluding Christmas, New year, Bank Holidays and set events which are High)
Mid Season: April, May, & September (Excluding Easter, Bank Holidays, NW200 & set events)
High Season: June, July & August (Christmas, Easter, New Yr., Bank holidays, NW200 & set events)
